Response to Sasha’s Post on Planning For Learning

Blog Post #2- Planning For Learning – Sasha Trickey

Hey Sasha!

Thank you for sharing your ideas. I found your explanation of Backward Design and how it connects to Bloom’s Taxonomy very clear, and I liked the examples of surface vs. deeper learning tasks; they made the ideas easier to understand. Your discussion of inquiry and project-based learning was also engaging, especially the Genius Hour example. I’d love to see you add a bit more on strategies for assessing open-ended projects effectively. Personally, I’ve found that giving students a choice in projects really increases both motivation and creativity.

Overall, I really liked reading your blog!
